Congratulations to all the filmmakers who took home a Chester Award!

Of the select 53 films we screened this year (representing 16 different countries!), 23 films were either World, North American or Pennsylvania Premieres! The West Chester Film Festival continues to get better and better – on behalf of the festival board, THANK YOU to all the filmmakers, sponsors and volunteers – this event would not be possible without you. Open to everyone, it’s a fun wrap-up to the Film Festival weekend. “The Chester” Award is a one of a kind glass sculpture designed by Brett Walker and crafted by Ryan Blyth. Following the Awards Presentation, you’ll get to see some of the award winning films one last time!

On Day Two, there are two blocks of films by Young Filmmakers, the first at 10:00 AM at the Knights of Columbus, followed by 1:00 PM at the Chester County Historical Society. The Chester County Historical Society also has film blocks at 3:15, 7:00 and 9:15 PM. The Knights of Columbus is screening film blocks at 3:30, 7:15 and 9:30 PM.

Take advantage of two Workshops at the Knights of Columbus: Documentary Filmmaking from Start to Finish at 12:30 AM and A Short (and funny) History of Film at 2:00 PM. Read about the workshops here.
